Because We Like Hue
SDAG is starting a “NEW” series of classes to be known as "Because We Like Hue" taught by members of the Guild.
"Fun With Glass". The first class is scheduled and ready for you to sign up. New classes will be added shortly and will include watercolor, plein air painting, oils and more.
Dates of class: Saturdays, September 7, 14, 21, 28, Time: 9-noon

Location: Encinitas Community Center, Arts and Crafts Room, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas (cross-streets Encinitas Blvd. & Balour Dr.). Plenty of parking.
In this four (4) part class participants will be introduced to the art of working with stained glass. We will create a stained glass sun-catcher, fuse and slump glass in a mold and create a glass mosaic on wood.
Students will learn to transfer a pattern to glass, cut and foil glass, solder the glass pieces together, the fundamentals of fusing, glass kiln firing schedules, and techniques of creating mosaics.
Written instructions will be provided to each participant to take home. Patterns will be available or the participants may create their own designs.
All tools needed will be provided during the class time. A $30 materials fee, which includes two firing fees, will be paid to the instructor at the first class.
Cost of all four classes: $100 plus $30 materials fee.
